Mary F. Cannon (1921-2012) of Chicago, Illinois, was stationed in Korea while a member of the Army Nurse Corps from 1951 to 1953 and in Vietnam during her service with the Navy Nurse Corps from 1958 to 1974.

This collection includes April 2008 oral history interview transcript available for use onsite in the archives, copies of photographs.

James V. Carmichael Jr. (1946-) is a professor emeritus, scholar and collector. Born in Marietta, Georgia, Carmichael obtained his Masters in Librarianship and PhD. in Information and Library Science at Emory University and UNC Chapel Hill respectively.

Kate Carnahan was a young, newly-married woman living in Covington, Indiana in the 1840s. This collection dates from 1848 to 1849 and includes eleven letters to Carnahan's mother covering such topics of daily life as the personalities of other local women, her wardrobe, social engagements, illnesses, and the inconveniences of life in a small town in the West.

Edna Ludelle Carraway was a student of the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina, graduating in 1945 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics.

The Edna Ludelle Carraway Notebook dates from 1943 to 1944 and contains Carraway's notations for a Biology course.

Ruth Robinson Carroll (1899-1999) and "Archer" Latrobe Carroll (1894-1996) together wrote many books for children, with illustrations done by Ruth.

The Ruth and Latrobe Carroll Papers date from 1952 to 1960 and contain manuscripts, typescripts, and original drawings.

The collection includes "My Life in the Service" diary/autograph book, 1942-1943; 15 photographs of Carter's time with the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) and Women's Army Corps (WAC), 1942-1945.

Cello Music General Collection consists of musical scores individually donated or purchased, which are accessioned into the UNCG Cello Music Collection independently of a personal archival collection.

The Centenary Project was established by the University of North Carolina at Greensboro Alumni Association in conjunction with UNCG history professor Dr. Richard Bardolph in 1980. Included are audio recordings and some video recordings. Some of the interviews have been transcribed.

The UNCG Centennial Oral History Project Collection contains over 170 interviews conducted ca. 1990 under the direction of Dr. William Link, Chair of the Department of History in connection with the university's Centennial Celebration.

Patricia Ann Chamings (b. 1940), of Lakeland, Florida, served for thirty years in the Air National Guard (ANG). She continued her career in civilian nursing while serving in the ANG.

The collection includes a 2007 January oral history transcript, a photograph, 4 uniforms, 3 Navy blue shirts, 2 Air Force sweater's with one having button in front, Air Force drab jacket, Air Force jungle jacket, a necktie, and mixed accessories for uniforms.

Denise DiBetta Mathis Champion (b. 1953) served in the United States Navy WAVES, or Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service, from 1976 to 1980 .

This collection contains the Chancellor's annual report and The Chancellor's Report.

The Chancellor's Cabinet consisted of top administrators from the various units on campus who met periodically with the Chancellor to discuss campus concerns. This collection contains minutes and working papers for the Chancellor's Cabinet, 1949-2004.

Tapes and transcripts of local television host Lee Kinard interviewing poet and UNCG professor Fred Chappell, dated between 1987 and 1997.

Fred Chappell was born in Canton, North Carolina in 1936. He earned both his Bachelor of Arts in 1961 and his Masters of Arts in 1964 from Duke University, North Carolina. In 1985, he won the Bollingen Prize in poetry.

Amy Marie Charles was a professor of English literature at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 1956 until 1984. In addition, she authored a biography of the seventeenth-century English poet George Herbert (Cornell University Press, 1977). This collection consists of documentary material collected by Dr. Charles for her study of Herbert's life.

The collection contains photographs; honorable discharge papers; correspondence from Charpentier to her children in Nashua, New Hampshire; and copies of correspondence and photographs.

The Department of Chemistry began in the early 1900s and changed its name in 1999 to the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Today the Department is responsible for the undergraduate and graduate curriculum in chemistry and biochemistry.

The records of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry contain announcements, annual reports, brochures, manuals, newsletters, and reports which document the activities of the Department from 1966-2004.

Nancy Margaret Christ of North Brunswick, New Jersey, served as a nurse in the United States Army Nurse Corps from 1961 to 1981. Christ earned a Bronze Star for her service during the Vietnam War and retired as a lieutenant colonel.

This Collection includes 23 March 2008 oral history transcript; Tape of "Til the white dove flies alone" by Crystal Gayle made to commemorate the Vietnam Women's Memorial, Washington D.C. November 11, 1993.

Emma Gertrude Hutaff Clark was a student at the State Normal and Industrial College, entering in 1915 and leaving in 1917.

The Emma Gertrude Hutaff Clark Scrapbook dates from 1915 to 1919. The Scrapbook contains mounted photographs.

The Department of Classical Studies has undergone several name changes since it was first established as the Department of Ancient and Modern Languages in 1892. In 1935 it changed names to the Department of Classical Civilization and later in 1986 became the Department of Classical Studies. Its mission is to serve the educational interests of undergraduate and master's level students by preserving, transmitting and interpreting the achievements of the Classical World.
